Last Thursday saw the announcement that the property market will re-open on the 29th June. We have noticed a positive increase in the activity levels and it is obvious that people are still keen to move. Moving house is such an important step in all our lives and we recognise that many of you will have concerns about the processes of buying and selling property going forward. We have put some new measures in place to help:
Visiting the office
From the 29th June, visiting our estate agency office will be a little different. We ask that you where you can you call in advance to make an appointment; however we realise this may not always be possible, and social distancing measures will be in place to ensure everyone’s safety. There is also hand sanitiser available for all visitors. Things are different for us all these days, and we are prioritising the wellbeing of our clients and our staff at all times.
Valuations
In the past all valuations were carried out in person at your property. Due to the coronavirus restrictions in place for the last 12 weeks, it has not been possible for us to visit properties. However, when we move into the next phase of the Government’s route map out of lockdown on the 29th June, we will be providing valuation visits again. Our estate agents will liaise with you in advance of visiting to discuss precautions to be taken in line with Government guidance. Our agents will be wearing masks for the safety of both themselves and you.
Alternatively, it might be that you would prefer to have your property valued remotely or virtually. If so, we can arrange; simply book a date and time that suits you on our website. One of our team will arrange a video call with you where we can ask about your property and be shown around remotely. We will still be able to provide you with an indication of value as well as our professional advice. Click here to book yours today.
Viewings
Government guidance is clear that - where possible - property viewings be carried out remotely in the first instance. In line with that guidance, and to help protect our clients and staff, physical viewings will be reduced to minimise the number of people visiting a property. We have some exciting new ways of providing viewings virtually including Matterport 3D Tours and also recorded filmed viewings which will be livestreamed through Facebook. This has been conducted as if you are walking around the property and will let you see the outside of the property as well as the inside. Please contact a member of estate agency if you are looking for a particular property and we can send you details of how to view. For physical viewings, sellers will be given clear guidance on how to prepare the property ahead of viewings and clear communication will be given to viewers on what to expect. Our viewing agents will be fully trained on how to conduct viewings safely, within government guidance.
If you have any questions on any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact our Estate Agency office and we can guide you through these new steps.
